Arriving as the 18th perfume release from Casamorati, Tempio d’Acquanhas all the defining characteristics of the vintage-inspired house. A serene fruity-floral scent, it is rooted in Italian artistry and reverence for the natural world. Tempio d’Acqua takes cues from the Thermae Berzieri spa in Salsomaggiore, Italy, a masterpiece built by architect Ugo Giusti and decorated by multi-talented artist Galileo Chini. The spa was designed to connect man with the healing properties of nature — and to serve as a reminder of her abundant beauty. Depictions of blooming flora and fauna interspersed with Greek goddesses adorn the interior walls in a harmonious fusion of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Far Eastern influences. Vibrantly-coloured stained glass windows filter the sunlight and intricate floral motifs add an extra dimension of tranquility to the already relaxing environment. The spa’s ability to immerse visitors in the beauty of nature — both physically and visually — while offering a sensory escape is the inspiration behind Tempio d’Acqua. A perfume that instantly sparks a sense of comfort and connection, inviting the wearer to lose themselves among its enchanting notes. Mimicking the brighter panels of the spa’s glasswork, the juicy note of peach stands out in the Tempio d’Acqua’s fruity opening — lingering afterwards, complemented by the delicate nuances of its heart notes. Mahonial illuminates the composition with its airy, floral touch, while fennel and cistus oil add subtle herbaceous facets. At the base, the creamy combination of sandalwood, vanilla and benzoin softens the smoky and ever-so-slightly spicy qualities of myrrh, as Ambrofix provides resinous warmth.
